The Camden County Workforce Development Board (CCWDB) and its Abilities Committee and Literacy Committee are hosting a forum for employers from across the Southern New Jersey Region to share and learn from experiences and best practices in employing individuals with disabilities. The event is open to the public, and employers both large and small are encouraged to attend. It will be an interactive opportunity to promote inclusion and community engagement for employers looking to expand their workforce with highly skill individuals mainly on the Autism spectrum.
Keynote speaker, Deb Dagit of Deb Dagit Diversity LLC, will speak about national initiatives and inclusion topics that include tips, tools and resources. Panelists from companies employing and advocating for those with autism, include Wawa, Kennedy Health “Project Search”, Wells Fargo Bank and Digitability will share their experiences.
Co-sponsor Bancroft, one of the largest non-profit organizations in New Jersey serving and supporting individuals with autism, developmental and intellectual disabilities and those in need of neurological rehabilitation, employs those with disabilities and seeks opportunities for employment, volunteerism and mentoring.
